- Job title, location, professional headline
- Role type (candidate, employer or recruiter)
When you use the platform:
- CV files you upload

- Job alerts and search preferences you set
- Jobs you save or view
- AI-generated CV content (if you use our CV Builder)
Automatically collected:
- IP address and browser type
- Pages visited and time spent on the site
- Device type and operating system
3. How We Use Your Data

- Create and manage your account
- Match you with relevant job opportunities
- Send job alerts you have subscribed to
- Process your job applications and share them with employers you apply to
- Send transactional emails (application confirmations, password resets)
- Improve our platform and personalise your experience
- Process payments securely via Stripe

5. Who We Share Your Data With
We only share your data with:
- Employers and recruiters — when you apply for a job, your application and CV are shared with that employer
- Stripe — for secure payment processing (employer/recruiter subscriptions)
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — when you use our AI CV Builder, your career information is processed to generate CV content
- Adzuna / Reed — we receive job data from these partners; clicking their job listings may take you to their sites
- Hostinger — our web hosting provider who stores data securely in the EU
We never sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
6. CV Data and Applications
When you upload a CV or submit an application, that data is stored securely on our servers. Your CV is only shared with employers you specifically apply to. We do not share your CV with employers unless you initiate an application.
7. Email Communications
We will send you:
- Transactional emails (application confirmations, password resets) — these cannot be opted out of as they are essential to the service
- Job alert emails — you can manage or cancel these from your dashboard at any time
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- Your profile and CV are deleted within 30 days
- Application records may be retained for 6 months for legal compliance
- Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by UK law
9. Your Rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct any inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
